THE POND JAR — (pond water as a whole universe:1.3) a toad keeper with a bucket — peering into a hollow, jar held to the light — at a damp forest floor of leaf litter. green light filtered through a canopy a jar of pond water glowing; cozy and damp tender toward creatures. (Backlit jar composition, the water an amber world, tadpoles suspended). a 40mm at f/4 for the shed interior, framing through ferns and leaf litter. BREAK a blade of grass in close focus the jar's glass; slick green algae, rotten wood gone soft of the muddy bank; a dragonfly drying its wings, a mouse at the foot of a wall, a frog the size of a thumbnail, ants farming aphids inside and out. a stone wall going green the pond's green edge. a biscuit tin of treasures, a cardigan with a hole and a darn, a stick with marks carved in it, a rope swing over the stream, a glove lost and never replaced BREAK a snail trail catching the light, light through a jar, green glass glowing in the sun, a feather's iridescence the jar held to sun. (goblincore pond, tadpoles, jar, backlit:1.2) deep fern, mud and copper.
